RAMS review

Drop in a risk assessment and method statement and read, in minutes, where it is thin — before the main contractor's HSE manager reads it for you.

In the office

Upload the RAMS as a PDF or a Word file. KASQ reads it and asks the twelve questions a reviewer asks — is the task specific (what, where, when); is supervision named; is the method a sequence, not a list; do the hazards match the task; do the controls follow the hierarchy rather than PPE first; is there a rescue plan for work at height; are substances covered by COSHH; do plant and equipment have inspection or certification; are emergency arrangements there (first aid, fire, escalation); is PPE specified for the task; are monitoring and review arranged; and how is the workforce briefed and signed on. Every finding quotes the passage it is about, so you can go straight to the line and fix it.

On site

The corrected RAMS is what goes to the main contractor and what the supervisor briefs from. The review itself stays in the office.

What it never does

KASQ does not decide whether the RAMS is acceptable — that is your judgement and your signature. This shortens the read; it does not replace the competent person doing it.

What it counts

What one run counts against a plan's monthly questions is on the tool's page and in the tools overview, both written from the same table as the plans page.
