Frequently asked

What is a "question"?

A question is counted only when KASQ does work for you — an answer, a document review, a cross-check. Tools count differently, and many count nothing at all: the tools overview says what one run of each counts.

When does the count start again?

On the 1st of each month. Unused questions do not roll over. Both the month and the day are counted in UTC: the day starts again at midnight UTC.

Why is there a daily number as well?

So that everything a plan includes can be used, just not all at once: a day is capped at a share of the month, and the month stays within reach.

What happens when I run out?

When the month is spent, KASQ tells you so and the date it starts again. When only the day is spent, it tells you that nothing is wrong and nothing is lost, that it starts again at midnight UTC, and that the rest of your month is still there.

A run that fails on our side is not counted.

Can colleagues share my plan?

On Trade and Company, yes, up to the number of people the plan includes. The person who pays adds colleagues in the People section of the account page: type the colleague's email address and press Invite. There is no invitation to accept — the colleague signs in with their own email address, and their questions come out of the plan's monthly number. An address can be on only one company's plan at a time, and Remove frees the place.

The crew on site need no account at all: see getting started.

Is the Free plan a trial?

No. Free stays free: no card, and no trial that turns into a bill.

Which plan has the CPP compatibility check?

It is a Company plan tool. On Free and Trade you can try it once — your RAMS against the construction phase plan — and after that it is Company's.

How many site audits can I run?

On Free, two walks started a month; on the paid plans, without limit. A walk spends none of the month's questions.

Is VAT added?

No. APPSTAR LTD is not VAT registered, so the price you see is the price you pay. Prices are in pounds sterling.

How do I pay?

Payments are taken by Stripe; card details go to Stripe and never to KASQ. Choose a paid plan on the plans page and it takes you to Stripe's checkout. If you are not signed in, you sign in first and come back to the plans page to choose it. Once you are paying, the account page has Payments and invoices.

How do I cancel?

In Stripe's own portal, where your invoices are, reached from your account page. Your plan keeps running to the end of the period you have already paid for; part of a month or a year is not refunded, and you are not charged again after you cancel.

What happens to my records if I stop paying?

They do not go when the plan does. Downgrading never locks a record: reading stays whole, and only adding past the new plan's numbers is refused. The plans page sets out how long removed records are kept.

What will you not do with my data?

We do not sell your data, we do not use your documents or photographs to train AI models, and there are no advertising or analytics companies in this product. See security and privacy.
