KASQSite safety, in the crew's language

What KASQ is

KASQ is health and safety software for construction sites in Great Britain. It runs in a web browser, with nothing to install: the office works on a desk, the site works on a phone, usually by scanning a QR code on a board.

It takes the safety paperwork a site already does and does the slow part: reading a RAMS against the twelve questions a reviewer asks, writing a toolbox talk from HSE guidance, building a COSHH assessment from a safety data sheet, adding up a day's noise or vibration, keeping the equipment and certificate registers, and turning an audit walk into a PDF report. The tools overview lists every tool.

Who it is for

The people who look after health and safety on UK construction sites: the HSE manager or advisor in the office, the supervisor and the site manager, and the crew who read the talks, the boards and the registers.

Languages

The office works in English. The crew's pages speak Polish, Romanian, Lithuanian and Bulgarian — and Russian too on toolbox talks and Take 5.

Where the answers come from

The site advisor and the toolbox talks answer from a library of checked GB guidance — HSE's HSG, L-series, INDG and CIS documents and HSE's own site pages — and name the document each point came from. When the checked guidance does not cover a question, KASQ says so rather than filling the gap with an opinion.

What KASQ will not do

  • Invent a number. Where the guidance gives no figure, KASQ says so. An estimate is always marked as one, and never dressed as a measurement.
  • Sign for you. No tool approves a RAMS, signs off a COSHH assessment or decides what an auditor saw. The judgement and the signature stay with the competent person.
  • Hide the source. Every talk and every answer names the HSE document it came from.

KASQ is guidance, not a duty holder. Your site rules, your RAMS, your permits and a competent person come first; nothing in KASQ transfers a legal duty from you to us.

Who makes it

KASQ is an APPSTAR LTD product. It is not affiliated with the Health and Safety Executive; HSE guidance is quoted under the Open Government Licence v3.0. What KASQ keeps about you is in the privacy notice. Questions: hello@kasq.uk.
