# Site advisor

Ask a site safety question in plain English, the way you would ask the advisor who visits once a fortnight — and get the answer now, from checked GB guidance, with the source named.

- Its page on this site: [Site advisor](https://kasq.uk/tools/site-advisor)
- In the app: [open Site advisor](https://app.kasq.uk/v3/#tool=advisor)

## In the office

Type the question as it comes up: a scaffold tag, a permit, an excavation, a lifting plan, what the regulations actually say. KASQ answers from a library of HSE guidance — HSG, L-series, INDG, CIS sheets and HSE's own site pages — and shows you which document each point came from.

When the checked guidance does not cover the question, it says so rather than filling the gap with an opinion.

## On site

On a phone, at the work area, when the question is 'can we do this like that?' and the paperwork is in the cabin.

## What it never does

It never decides for you. An answer is a starting point with its source under it — the decision, and the signature, stay with the competent person on site.

It never invents a figure. Where the guidance gives no number, KASQ says so rather than estimating one.

## What it counts

What one run counts against a plan's monthly questions is on [the tool's page](https://kasq.uk/tools/site-advisor) and in the [tools overview](https://kasq.uk/docs/product/tools.md), both written from the same table as the [plans page](https://kasq.uk/plans).
